How to Earn Your Certificates

When your student completes every lesson and module within a course, they automatically receive a Certificate of Completion. With 78 courses in the VFA library spanning subjects from Literature to Engineering, each certificate marks a meaningful academic milestone. Certificates appear instantly on your student’s dashboard and are delivered to your parent portal with a downloadable PDF.

Students who complete a course with a grade weighted average (GWA) of 90% or higher earn the prestigious Certificate of Excellence. This award recognizes not just completion, but true academic distinction. Students achieving a GWA of 95% or above receive the special WITH HONORS designation — a mark of exceptional mastery that stands out on any transcript.

The Certificate of Recognition honors students who demonstrate exceptional character, curiosity, and commitment to growth. Private Academy students may be personally nominated by Mr. Williams for outstanding effort or leadership. All students earn this certificate automatically when they collect 10 or more badges of any kind — Spark, Forge, Mastery, or Explorer. Every badge counts toward this milestone, rewarding both breadth and depth of learning.

Victory Forge Academy celebrates students who create and share their work with the world. When your student publishes 5 or more original creations, they earn the Certificate of Participation.

What counts as one submission:

• A project uploaded to the Project Showcase
• A game or app published to the Arcade
• A podcast episode uploaded to Podcast Studio
• Artwork posted to the Art Gallery (drawings, paintings, sculptures, digital art)
• A music composition uploaded to Music Studio
• A story or book published to Author’s Corner
• A science experiment posted to Lab Reports
• A video, presentation, or Ted Talk uploaded to the Stage
• A sermon or devotional shared to the Chapel
• A social media post on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, or Facebook

Social Media Bonus: To receive credit for a social media post, it must include the name “Victory Forge Academy” in the caption or text. This helps your student build a portfolio while spreading the word about their learning journey.

When your student completes 10 microcourses aligned with their Primary Gifting and at least 5 microcourses in their Secondary Gifting, they earn the Gifting Pathway Certificate. Your student’s Primary and Secondary Giftings are their God-given strengths identified through the Pathfinder Survey. This powerful credential validates that your student has pursued their unique calling with depth and dedication across both their core and complementary strengths. Most students earn 1–2 Pathway certificates during their VFA journey.

The Grade Completion Certificate is awarded when a student finishes every required course for their current grade level. This is a major academic milestone — the equivalent of completing an entire school year at Victory Forge Academy. Each certificate is automatically generated and emailed to parents, and for graduating grades, a beautifully printed physical certificate is mailed to your home as a keepsake of your student’s achievement.
