No A–F Grades

Mastery Reports, Not Letter Grades

At the end of every 10-step Tutorbot adventure, the AI outputs a comprehensive Mastery Report — charting velocity, spiritual gifts, analytical proficiencies, and operational strengths. No more A–F labels that reduce a child's becoming to a single letter.

What a Mastery Report Actually Looks Like

Instead of a single letter grade, parents get a short, plain-language snapshot after every Tutorbot adventure. Here's a simplified example for each school level.

K-5 Example

Ellie, Grade 2 — after Sally's Scenario Simulator

  • Velocity: Finished the mission in 12 minutes — right on pace for her grade.
  • Calling Trait: Showed strong compassion, choosing to help a stranded character before solving the puzzle.
  • Parent Note: Ellie is grasping cause-and-effect thinking well; encourage her to explain her choices out loud.
6-12 Example

Marcus, Grade 9 — after Dakota the Debater

  • Velocity: Built a full rebuttal in 18 minutes, faster than his last three sessions.
  • Calling Trait: Strong analytical reasoning — backed every claim with evidence, a leadership/advocacy strength.
  • Parent Note: Marcus is ready for more complex, multi-sided arguments next session.
