Core Content

Look for this idea outside of your lessons. Confidence comes from having actually done the work, not from being told you are clever. This is worth learning because earned confidence carries you into harder work without fear. Watch for it today, and when you spot it, tell someone what you noticed and how you knew. Ask yourself where else the same idea might be hiding, then go and look.

Let us look at this together. You started this strand counting to twenty. Now you count to one hundred twenty, build numbers from tens and ones, compare them, and add and subtract tens in your head.

That is real growth, earned by steady practice. Build the biggest number you can with your rods and cubes, say what each digit means, and thank God for a mind that grew stronger through work.

Try naming one specific thing that was hard in September and is easy now. Growth is real but it is quiet, and you will not notice it unless you stop and compare where you were with where you are. Say it out loud once, and then try it with real objects.
