Core Content
This idea walks around your house all day. Work well done is worth showing. Gratitude turns an accomplishment into worship instead of pride. This is worth learning because finishing well and giving thanks is how a good year should end.
Watch for it today, and when you spot it, tell someone what you noticed and how you knew. Ask yourself where else the same idea might be hiding, then go and look.
This idea is simple once you see it. This is your showcase. Choose your favorite things from this whole year and show them to your family. Count to one hundred twenty. Solve a story problem and explain your strategy out loud.
Count a handful of coins. Read a clock. Build a shape and split it fairly. Then stop and give thanks, because the mind that learned all of this was a gift from the Living God, and using it well is one way to worship Him.
Here is the best way to finish. Show your work to someone who watched you struggle at the beginning of the year. Their gladness will teach you something about how God feels watching you grow. Try a few on your own, and be patient with yourself.
