Core Content
This is not just for paper. Foundation work is invisible when it is done right and impossible to ignore when it is done wrong. This is worth learning because what holds everything up is worth more attention than what shows.
Watch for it today, and when you spot it, tell someone what you noticed and how you knew. Ask yourself where else the same idea might be hiding, then go and look.
You are going to like this one. Jesus told about two builders. One built his house on rock and one on sand. When the storm came, only the house on rock stood.
A foundation is the part nobody admires and everybody needs. The same is true of your work: careful counting underneath makes everything above it trustworthy. Build your towers on flat, steady shapes, and build your life on Christ, who does not shift.
Watch out for the temptation to build fast and tall. A tower rushed at the base will fall, and rebuilding takes longer than laying the foundation carefully in the first place. Little by little, this becomes something you just know.
